==Bio==
I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was in 5th grade. At first I was scared that it would limit me, my thoughts would focus on what I thought I would not be able do. I soon realized that my energy was better spent finding ways to do the thing I wanted to do. I try not to let myself be defined by the fact that I am diabetic, it is part of my life but it is not who I am.
I have always enjoyed the outdoors, as a kid I grew up canoeing, camping, hiking, skiing, etc… My involvement in such activities continued and included backpacking and snowboarding by the time I was in high school. Climbing however, was absent from my life; it was not something I had even considered until I moved to Flagstaff, AZ for college. I was introduced to climbing when a roommate who climbed invited me to come out to our local crag with him.
Besides climbing my other biggest passion in life is photography. My photography allows me to share climbing and its experiences with others. I hope that team LV will allow me to share my passions and experiences with other diabetics and inspire them to pursue their goals.
